i love the feeling. the day is ending and nothing but relaxation and satisfaction are left flowing through your blood after a really great day. this doesnt have to be any kind of special day, maybe it wasnt even ALL great, but for the most part and for the best part it just was. by and by im finding out moreso that these days seem to come around to remind me what life is really like. what it is really meant to be like. in a society that reminds me everyday that “real life” is a hard grind from 9-5 with all heaps of worries, its easy to fall into the groove that runs straight and narrow viewed that seems to have everyone sucked into it. i imagine a great valley running between giant mountain ranges, and typical american life sticks to the strait and level trail that winds the bottom of this valley where life is the easiest and theres no extra thinking required. then on that extra-ordinary day somebody realizes that there are more ways to walk and different trails they can take. or maybe even blaze their own new trail and before you know it they have cleared the treeline and find themselves gazing from the summit of those mountains wondering why hadnt they every seen this amazing sight before. this new trail sure aint always easy though. its rough, rocky, unmarked, and gets the worse for the wear from any weather that comes through, yet still from time to time they come across a lookout point that brings it all right back into perspective again and with a smile on their face they can say. wow. what a great day this is. “real life” has taken on completly different face for me.
this post just took a totally different turn on me as i was writing it. i started out wanting to just write about a great day i had lobster fishing, riding my bike, and getting to see two excellent bands play in the evening. but as my mind started rambling out what it was thinking this transformed into an expressed rant that has been in my mind for a long time just never found its way to be written down. thanks for sticking with me if you’ve gotten this far.

this past saturday april 15th was a day of nationwide organization for a new found event called Step It Up. an organization that is the brainchild of a few college students and turned into a whole countrys effort to cut back on carbon emissions. more than 1400 events happend across the country yesterday and i was psyched to be able to help out a bit and make it out to the event that was planned at UNH by a few friends of mine. they did a great job and the turnout was awesome. there was some good music, food, some excellent speakers, and a silent auction to raise money to buy carbon credits from factories and buisnesses. for any more, and the official information check out their website at www.stepitup2007.org check it out! then go get a diesel rig and convert it to veggie!

on another note clint and i rode manchester park the other day in short sleeves for the first time this year (for me anyways…) and it was so nice. then it snowed some more. and now its snowing some more again. but anyway i wanted to run a little test and see if i could figure out how to post video on here. so heres a go anyway…

Brock Gomez from Baton Rouge, and the savage south crew, sent over some info about this contest they are having in place of transitions.
sounds like a good time.
Clint
Sorry guys, no Transitions this year, but we’ve decided to put together
a
contest in order to keep the springtime BMX scene rolling down in Baton
Rouge, LA. Nacho Ordinary Contest is just that- it’s not in a
skatepark,
there’s no beginner class and it’s run by a bunch of locals who just
want to
have a good time.
The contest is on May 5th, 2007 at the Iowa St. ramps in Baton Rouge,
LA.
Signups begin at 9 AM and will last until 11 AM. Shortly after 11
Expert
practice will start (people who have registered will be able to ride
beforehand). We’ll be grouping the classes into groups of 5 for
practice and
runs. Pro registration will be open throughout the day and Pro practice
will
start when the Expert class is finished. Same thing goes for the Pro
class-
groups of 5 for practice.
We hope to see everyone here in Baton Rouge on May 5th for the Cinco de
Mayo
contest. People are welcome to show up early for the contest but keep
in
mind that we cannot provide a place for everyone to stay. See all of
you on
May 5th.

just got a motor bike, actually the guy sold me two of the same bike and I’m making one working bike out of the two.
Can’t wait to get that hog on the road.
The shot of the 3 wheeler is another one of my fathers sweet projects.
bikes not bombs!
