October always seems to be one of the best months of the year for dirt jumping in New Hampshire, it’s cooler out and the dirt stays really good all day.  Highland Mountain is kicking off the month with a jam in the dirt jump park.

Enjoy live bands from Rock to Punk to Metal throughout the jam, bringing talent from all over New England, complete with Red Bull girls and DJ. Full cafe and finally a beer garden.
Format:
This Jam is for all rider levels; registered riders can take as many runs through the jumps as they want during the 1:00 - 4:00 PM jam session.  At the conclusion of the jam all registered riders will be given a ballet to vote for the days standout performances; best trick, best style/flow, best run, best overall shredder.  Save a little energy for the high jump contest at 4:30 PM on the last jump of the slopestyle course… freebird.  Each category will receive prizes including a 2009 Highland Mountain season pass, and various other products from our sponsors. Well also have a cash buy in, head to head, winner take all gamble if anyone wants to make some money betting a trick/run score against someone else. Choose a game of PIG or riders votes for winner.

Schedule:
Practice:  10:00-12:30
Jam 1:00pm – 4:00pm
High Jump : 4:30pm

2008 Belmar comp motor bike trip!

Posted by Clint @ 7:49 pm

Derrick, Randy, Mike, and myself road motorcycles down to the Belmar comp this weekend.
It rained on the ride down and on the ride back, but we still had a blast. Hurricane Randy got his sleeping bag caught in his back wheel while going over 70mph down the highway! Locked up his back, and skidded to a stop. Everybody was stuuuuuned. Other than a huge flat spot in his tire and a couple grey hairs, Randy came out unscaved. Mike broke his chain and his clutch cable at the same time at around 1am. He had enough slack in his drops to take a link out and with the help of some vice grips the cable was dialed back in.
Derrick laid his bike over three times at the Belmar, WOW.
The comp was supper fun and full of energy and oil. I don’t think I saw a frown in the crowd.
Nutter and Dave dialed the course in, thanks guys.
and thanks to everybody at FBM for pulling off one of the most casual laid back contest out there.

Kyle View and Justin Rossen are two good friends of mine that just got back into riding. We grew up riding together and I’m psyched they’re back on the horse, and killing it.

Back in the USA.

Posted by Clint @ 9:46 pm

Made it back to US soil. The UK trip was awesome. Road a lot of trails and a couple good cement parks. there should be a little article about the trip in Ride UK.
I’ll probably be in NH for .2 making mods, then it’s off to the Belmar cotest via motorcycles
